08. 02. 2010
On the occasion of the forthcoming Krsna Slava of His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Pavle, the Choir of the Moscow Patriarchate „Pravoslavni pojci“ which is straying in Serbia with the blessing of the Patriarch of Moscow and All of Russia, His Holiness Kirilo, gave a concert to the employees of the Military Medical Academy.
The concert was attended by high representatives of the Serbian Orthodox Church led by his Grace Bishop Atanasije of Hvostno, Vicar of His Holiness Patriarch Pavle.
The event began with a warm welcome extended to the distinguished guests by the head of the Military Medical Academy, Major General Prof. Dr. Miodrag Jevtić. Addressing all the present on that occasion, general said:
‘’Dear guests, spiritual brothers welcome to this temple of health. The Military Medical Academy is an institution with a very long history and dedicated to the health, physical and spiritual essence of a human being. The MMA’s members have always stood by their people and the country facing challenges of the Balkan ever unstable reality. That may be the reason why Serbian people more than any others has a need to turn to its spiritual renaissance, since no one has had such a curved historical path to follow in time and space as we have. Over our land soaked with blood and tears we can still hear the clatter of the hoofs of the apocalypse horsemen, who have been so many times halted by the Serbian people and its military who boldly flaunt their flag of freedom, justice and love. Through striving of our people and facing numerous challenges in our tough history we as a nation have built our brotherly friendship and spiritual unity of our peoples. And today, we feel very honorable and proud to be able to feel deep in our hearts and through the music of the Choir of the Moscow Patriarchate the force that brings the souls of our two nations close together, since the music is well said to be ‘’the language of the soul’’.
